Always here to help, Bald Hills Dental

Meet Dr Tasleem Khan

Dr Tasleem Khan is a general dentist with a strong focus on oral surgery, wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Originally from the Sunshine Coast, he completed his Bachelor of Dental Science at Southern Cross University in 2019, before his career took him across Australia, gaining experience in Bathurst, Albury, Sydney and Newcastle. He returned to Queensland and joined Bald Hills Dental in 2022.

Dr Tasleem’s current passion lies in oral surgery, particularly wisdom tooth removal and implant dentistry. He has pursued extensive hands-on additional training in these areas, including surgical cadaver training, live wisdom tooth surgery training and further postgraduate study in implant dentistry — reflecting his commitment to continually developing his surgical skills so patients can receive comprehensive care in a familiar, comfortable environment.

Alongside his surgical interests, Dr Tasleem has a natural eye for cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry. He has helped many patients achieve their dream smiles through a combination of orthodontics, composite and porcelain restorations, and carefully planned cosmetic treatment. One of the highlights of his career is seeing the transformation of his orthodontic cases, comparing where a patient started with their final result.

His approach to dentistry is conservative, patient-driven and centred around informed consent. Rather than simply telling patients what they should do, Dr Tasleem prefers to guide them — taking the time to explain the condition, available treatment options, benefits and limitations, so patients feel informed, comfortable and empowered to make decisions about their own dental care.

Committed to continued professional development, Dr Tasleem has undertaken advanced education across digital orthodontics, implant dentistry, oral surgery, wisdom tooth removal, digital dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, TMD and sleep dentistry, including a Graduate Diploma of Digital Orthodontic Treatments and ongoing postgraduate training in implant dentistry,
TMD and sleep dentistry.

Outside the clinic, Dr Tasleem loves staying active, playing sport and riding his motorbike. He also considers himself a hobby farmer, and is always onto the next hobby, project or interest to keep himself busy

Patient FAQs

Why should I go to the dentist if I'm not in pain?

Growing decay or developing dental conditions often show no symptoms early on. By the time pain is felt, the underlying damage is usually already in its mid to late stages, which is why regular check-ups are so important for catching problems early

Yes — there are numerous ways to enhance a smile conservatively, from minimal or no-prep veneers to composite bonding, allowing Dr Tasleem to improve aesthetics while preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible.

It depends on your goals, budget and the condition of your teeth. Composite veneers are generally more affordable and reversible, while porcelain veneers tend to offer greater durability and a more natural translucency. Dr Tasleem can talk you through which option best suits your smile.

There’s a range of options depending on your specific concerns, from teeth whitening and cosmetic reshaping through to composite or porcelain veneers, or orthodontic treatment for alignment. Dr Tasleem will assess your smile and recommend a tailored approach.

In many cases, Dr Tasleem can manage wisdom tooth removal directly, having completed extensive handson surgical training including cadaver-based courses and live wisdom tooth surgery training. He’ll assess your case to determine the best approach for you.
