How does teeth whitening work?

Using an impression of your teeth, we’ll create a set of customized bleaching trays. You’ll apply a small amount of professional grade whitening gel into each tooth reservoir and wear the trays for about an hour a day. After a few days, you’ll start to see stain and discoloration starting to “lift” from the tooth. For best results, whiten each day for up to two weeks.

To maintain your whiter smile, we recommend topping off for a few days every 3-6 months (after your scale and clean is ideal). Additionally, do your best to avoid dark foods and liquids, brush regularly, and rinse your mouth after drinking tea or coffee.

Who is a candidate for teeth whitening?

It’s important to make sure that your teeth and gums are healthy, and that there are no tooth-coloured crowns or fillings in your smile zone (as these materials will not lighten).
